Plus-sized mannequins at Nike's flagship Oxford Circus store

Nike Displays Plus Size Mannequins In London Store

1 MIN READ • 18th June 2019

Because healthy comes in all shapes and sizes

Sportswear giant, Nike hit the headlines this week for the first plus size mannequin to appear in its flagship store in London. The sportswear brand first debuted a plus-size range in 2017, which offers customers sizes up to 3X. Some people agree that this is an inclusive step to body neutrality, while others have accused the brand for ‘normalising obesity’.

A survey conducted by golfsupport.com found that 83% of people believe more sportswear brands should follow the example set by Nike and include plus-size mannequins in their advertising and 80% do not believe plus-size mannequins glorify obesity.
