Team GB’s best moments from London 2012 Paralympics

2 MIN READ • 6th September 2016

Bringing home a record-breaking 120 medals four years ago, Rio 2016 has a lot to live up to...

We can’t believe it’s been four years since London 2012 where we flocked together in our thousands to cheer Team GB on to win a record-breaking 65 medals in the Olympics and a staggering 120 medals in the Paralympics, leaving us third in the medals table. In his closing speech, IPC President Sir Philip Craven described London 2012 as “the greatest Paralympic games ever”. With record breaking performances, the most amount of countries to take part to date and a roaring crowd at every event, we whole heatedly agree. The Rio Paralympics kicks off tonight, so we took a stroll down memory lane at some of Team GB’s highlights.

Good luck to all of the paralympians competing in Rio. Go Team GB! }
